FIREWOOD BEETLE ALERT: This is the time of year when banded ash borer and painted hickory borer beetles emerge from firewood stored near our homes. It’s an alarming sight, but these insects are only a nuisance and don’t do permanent damage, according to a recent article in the Buckeye Yard and Garden Line newsletter.
